It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of September!!
The beginning of the year has been flying by so far. We've been having a great time singing, moving, and playing instruments in music class!
Also, this past week marked the beginning of the 2015-2016 Marshall Elementary Early Morning Choir! We had our first two rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday morning and the kids sounded GREAT! I'm so excited to hear them sing each week.
Attention 3rd and 4th graders of Marshall Elementary!
Choir starts Tuesday, September 22nd.
The Marshall Elementary Choir will meet in the music room every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:30-8:25. Choir is a wonderful and engaging experience for 3rd and 4th grade students who want to learn more about the voice and performing. We play, we sing, and we perform in several public concerts. Performances include the Christmas Concert, and we’ve been asked to sing the National Anthem at a Whitecaps game every year since May, 2002!
Enrollment will be limited to the first 65 students that sign up!!
Please contact Miss Hoop for more details.
We are back to school this week, and are singing, playing, and learning in full force! I've been having a blast getting to see all of your kiddos and learning the names and personalities of all the new students we have this year at Marshall Elementary.
Feel free to check this blog to see updates on what we're learning and doing in music class! I see each class two times a week for thirty minutes. I can't wait to get to know each student better as we learn together this school year.
That's all for now, and I'll leave you with a picture of my classroom door this year (I'm really loving how it turned out). It combines two of my favorite things: reading and music!
